# S9. Electoral participation

Global Commons actively participates in existing electoral processes while advocating for the reform of the electoral system towards the principles of the Global Commons community.

The foundational purpose of Global Commons is to implement its system of election in public administration, ensuring equal participation without the influence of political parties, religion, or organized groups. If Global Commons comes to power in any state, its first action is to dissolve the Global Commons community within that particular state, implement the Global Commons system of election within 100 days, dissolve the existing government, and introduce a new form of democracy to the people of the state. Similar efforts will continue in other parts of the world until this goal is achieved globally.

In the current system of democracy, candidature is decided through collective campaign efforts by all members until the election commission announces the date. Once the date is announced, a computer-aided selection process, utilizing a Python script, is employed to determine the candidate from among the members of pods within the constituency. Once candidacy is finalized through this method, members are no longer liable for campaign activities, and all responsibility rests upon the candidate. Campaign activities are restricted to walking campaigns between 9 am and 11 am, with no use of stickers on walls or loudspeaker campaigns permitted. Digital platforms are allowed for campaign purposes.

Candidates must sign a contract with pod members stipulating that they will resign from their representation if a call with the required vote for their recall is raised at any point in time.
